Our family and friends had an amazing time at Villa Baloccaia. The place is one of a kind with beautiful surroundings and views, an amazing pool, plenty of space and the right mix of quaint and modern. Carlo was an incredible host. Very proactive and responsive, communicating, providing recommendations and ensuring we were doing well. The villa is within 20 minutes to the walled city of Lucca, and 30 minutes to an hour to Viareggio beach, Pisa, Cinque Terre, and other activities. The area is very scenic and beautiful. Renting a car is a must. Note that only the bedrooms which are upstairs have air conditioning. Not an issue if you hate AC and prefer outdoor breeze, or when the weather is warm or cool. On hot days you will likely be by the pool or out and about. We loved our stay and would definitely come back again for R&R and to explore other options we did not get to see or do. Thank you Carlo for helping to making our stay in Tuscany an amazing one.

We had a great time in Carlo's villa. Communication with him was always completely smooth and extremely friendly. The house is in absolutely top condition and we can fully recommend it. We felt very comfortable and left the villa a little sad after two weeks.
